TT Noort Bengali
TT Noort Bengali extends the Noort system into Bengali, matching the Latin in weight, rhythm and reading colour. The matra is drawn at a consistent thickness across the family so that headlines and captions keep the same horizontal cadence.

Bengali asks different questions of a serif than Latin does. The matra carries the line, the conjuncts stack, and the vertical space above and below the baseline is never negotiable. Noort Bengali was drawn with generous ascender and descender room so that no conjunct is clipped by an interface that assumes Latin metrics.
The conjunct set was drawn rather than assembled, and the OpenType logic keeps the ligatures intact through weight changes. Set alongside the Latin at the same size, the two scripts produce a comparable grey value — the point of the whole exercise.
